Some examples of boxes we've done in the past.
If you don't see what you had in mind here, contact us and we'll work with you to create a design that meets your needs.
Many of these boxes are shown unfinished as they were shipped unfinished along with instructions for the buyer. This helps keep the boxes more economical, but doesn't make for great pictures.

This box was a custom order. A real nice, clean look in curly maple. The finish was chosen to preserve the whiteness of the maple. The crane eye was inlaid with turquoise to provide a touch of blue. The picture doesn't really catch the gloss of the finish.
A "dragonskin" box with an osage orange lid. The wood is dyed green, but naturally has the shimmer and texture like scales. The osage orange will turn a golden brown over time. Oil finish with shellac topcoat.
Another example of the inlaid strip, this one in a ratling box done in shedua with a padauk lid and inlay. The eye of the rat shows the red of the padauk giving it a sinister look. Oil finish with a shellac topcoat.
A custom order done for a Christmas present. The receipient wanted a box that invoked the old Yoritomo's alliance and the later Fox clan addition. The color was matched to the background of the old cards and Yoritomo's Kama were woodburned on the lid.
